Purchased through Orca website rather than A****n. Shipping a little slower and actually price a little higher, but wanted to go to the source. Very pleased. Was originally going to use on the hip belt of my day pack for general storage, but it's actually, IMHO, a little big for that for day hikes, I have another hip pack that's a little smaller (thinner, primarily) that serves my daily needs better. I had my hiking "10 Essentials" with some personal additions in a larger, less versatile bag (carry bag only, no MOLLE or other attachment mechanism) that had to be stuffed inside the day pack, so it took up valuable real estate inside the pack itself that I sometimes wanted for other things. Tried the contents in this bag, perfect fit! Indeed, with the loops and Velcro pouch inside this, much better organized (other pouch was just a pouch, no organization). So VERY happy now. Items better organized, fit perfectly and I have two ways of carrying it - can toss into the pack if I want, OR mount to the hip belt if I'm carrying more in the pack. Construction solid, the MOLLE snaps work well (some equipment it seems like you almost have to use a hammer or pliers to close the snaps!), easy to close and open but are secure (you have to WANT to open the snaps). Zippers good (they are indeed marked YKK) and have nice pulls on them. They redesigned the horizonal MOLLE bands, they're closer together than the picture on the website shows right now (3/23/24) but this does actually work well for my setup. Great product!
I received my admin pouch and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I expected much less based on the limited reviews and the low price point. This pouch is sturdy, well set up and all around a quality product. I will be ordering from them again.
I ordered this product after not being able to find what I needed anywhere else. I wanted a holster for my full sized S&W SD9 (Similar in size to Glock 19) that I could attach to the hip belt of my hiking pack, and that would sit horizontally. Sounds simple right? I looked for weeks, and found nothing that worked. Half of what I found had fixed loops that you could only run a belt through. The other half was too small to fit my gun in. Then, I finally found one product that I thought would work, but luckily I read a review that said it wouldn't fit my gun.
Luckily, I stumbled upon this. The size seemed like it could work, and it had four straps that would fit around my hip belt. In addition to the Molle pack, I ordered a 15$ trigger guard for the pistol. I didn't feel comfortable with the gun bouncing around with the trigger exposed while hiking. For less than 30$ total (About 10-20$ less that everything else I had seen) I had my holster.
I took it on a two day, 30 mile hike the following weekend. I was beyond pleased with its performance. The snaps held firm without any incident. I was able to fit my pistol, and extra magazine with room to spare. With a heavy rain the contents stayed respectably dry.
